Lake George Regional Park


Located on the Skowhegan/Canaan Town Lines
US Route 2 - Somerset County - Maine
Lake George Regional Park is a day-use park owned by the State of Maine and leased by the towns of Skowhegan and Canaan. The park is managed for public use by Lake George Corporation, a nonprofit organization.

The 320-acre fully accessible park offers swimming, fishing, picnicking, a public boat launch, a multiuse trail system, playing fields, and group use facilities.

The park is open year-round. User fees are charged from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Admission: adults, $3; children age 5 to 11, $1; one-year family seasonal passes, $40 for Canaan and Skowhegan residents, $50 for nonresidents; individual passes, $20 for residents, $25 for nonresidents; free admission for children under 5, senior citizens (age 65 and over), and disabled veterans.

Programs at the park include a Winter Carnival and Ice Fishing Derby (February), a Summer Day Camp (July-August), a Fiddle Festival (August-September), and a Mountain Bike Challenge Race (September).
