An employee of Skowhegan Savings since 1982, Karen Hart relishes her current role as Community Banker because of the customer relationships that are built on a daily basis. Whether it’s helping first time home buyers or guiding people through the construction loan process, when you gain people’s trust, you build long-lasting relationships and people who rely on their “banker”. Those relationships are what make community banking such a rewarding career. Starting on the Teller line, Karen has also been a Mortgage Officer and spent many years as the Marketing officer.
Karen is a graduate of the University of Maine and the New England School of Banking.
An active member of the community, Karen belongs to the Skowhegan Rotary Club, the Skowhegan Run
of River Committee, United Way of Mid Maine Campaign Cabinet, and the Western Mountains Committee of the Maine Community Foundation.
Karen resides in Smithfield with her husband, and enjoys hiking, biking, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
