***CRITICAL FRAUD ALERT***
Fraudsters have attempted to call customers at banks in Maine and New Hampshire, including Skowhegan Savings Bank, using a duplicated phone number matching a bank phone number, claiming to be from internal security or the bank’s “fraud department,” and asking customers to move their money to another account. They may even ask that you keep this confidential from your business partners and/or trusted bank employees. Skowhegan Savings Bank would never call a customer about an “investigation,” claim to be from “internal security,” or ask you to move your funds. In addition, we’ll never ask you to provide your PIN/token, account information, or personal details.
