John Butera has over 30 years of experience in helping businesses grow and prosper. His extensive background in economic development allows him to make communities a better place to live and work. John has a strong desire to help grow Maine’s economy – one business and one community at a time. He is proud to have played a role in helping recruit some notable businesses to Maine, such as T-Mobile and Wayfair, and assisting existing Maine businesses grow and expand, such as The Jackson Lab and St. Croix Tissue.

Having completed more than a dozen marathons and climbed Mt. Whitney, John enjoys challenges and believes that success is a journey, not a destination. He resides in Waterville with his wife and son.
